  t’s talk about outfits for work. It’s safe to say (in most cases), gone are the days of pencil skirts and blazers. Not saying these AREN’T worn anymore in the office, but I think overall work environments have changed. Actually no, I KNOW work environments have changed. I think I definitely have an even more lax point of view since I work in the fashion industry, but overall I’m definitely seeing the girlies re-thinking their office outfits. In 2024, I think the “professional” standard has widened to incorporate trendier pieces that you can now rework outside of your 9-to-5…without getting a call from HR.   Outfits For Work Ditch The Power Suit I know, kind of blasphemous coming from someone who works for  J.Crew .   Embroidery is a big part of it, with techniques like geta, tile, mirror work, and thread work  being very common. These techniques are often used in fancy clothes, especially for weddings and special occasions. They make the outfits look beautiful and unique. As we know that Muslim women have to be modest in clothing, so  wearing skirt is a good option . You can mix and match the top with blouse, cardigan, blazer, long sleeve shirt,  as long as it covers your body and not too tight.

  This means that you should look nice, clean, and well-put together, but long , suits, or high heels are likely not required. A special thing to keep in mind about Western wedding themes is that  denim, leather, suede, and flowy sundresses are generally encouraged, as are cowboy boots and cowboy hats . Women wedding guests should wear  full-length dresses, be it a ballgown, a sheath or an A-line dress . High heels are strongly recommended. Feel free to accessorize with opulent jewelry and even elbow-length white silk gloves.  

  Classic style is defined by timeless pieces that will last. This clothing type doesn’t focus on trends but instead cares more about higher quality fabrics, and pieces that are constructed well and tailored to the body. Prints tend to be minimal or non-existent. Instead favouring compact neutral colours like navy, black, Gray, ivory, cream, blush, and camel. There’s not a lot of fussiness or embellishments and accessories are minimal. Pieces tend to be tailored and well fitting to the body’s silhouette. A classic wardrobe is  filled with elegant, high quality clothing . Usually, the cuts are straight, which balances all silhouettes. Neutral colours like black, white, grey or beige are the most commonly used when pairing garments.

  Unless fashion is your creative outlet, figuring out what to wear shouldn’t monopolize your morning. Decisions about clothing, shoes, accessories, and adornments don’t have to take up too much of your life. Selecting and maintaining a simple wardrobe doesn’t have to be a chore and it doesn’t have to leave you with only boring things in your closet. What it  can  do is make it easy for you to pack for your next adventure on a moment’s notice, spend less time cleaning, pressing and caring for your clothes, and endure fewer frustrations while trying to figure out what to wear.
